Belfast Now Project visit Sacred Heart
Today the boys got to meet Alexis from Zimbabwe and Shiplo from Nigeria. Both ladies were very informative about their country and culture. They showed us some photographs of the housing in their country and also how their football club had developed some professional players, even though conditions were poor. The boys also found out about their lives before they came to live in Belfast and why they had to leave. It also improved their knowledge and understanding of an Asylum Seeker and a Refugee. It was extremely interesting and the children had lots of questions. We all hope that Alexis and Shiplo continue their work in educating children and adults about the journey of some Asylum Seekers and Refugees and we wish well in their future.
