Friends of Sacred Heart
Welcome to the PTA section! We have a thriving PTA called the “Friends of Sacred Heart” and we are dedicated to establishing strong links between Home and School. Although highly successful as a fund raising body, the PTA is equally concerned with activities that develop social links with school.
The school highly values the Home / School partnership that has developed and the free flow of information that takes place in an atmosphere of understanding and open-ness.
All parents, carers, guardians and staff are automatically members of Friends of Sacred Heart and are welcome to attend our Annual General Meetings. Please don’t be shy, we would love to see you there.
What “Friends of Sacred Heart” PTA Does..
We are passionate about our school and helping the children to be the best they can be. Over the past year we have raised money to help the school in numerous ways. This year we provided funds to replace the Interactive Whiteboard in the ICT Suite and we also provided Burgers, Chips and a drink when some boys went to the Celtic v Hearts match in December. Thanks to the huge effort from children, parents and staff we have made this happen and are very proud of the results.
We are always looking for new fundraising ideas and opportunities, but we usually raise money through fun events and initiatives, such as:
- Burger Bash Fun Day
- Bingo nights
- Movie Nights
- Bun Sales
- Bag Packs
- Valentine’s Disco
If you have any other fund raising ideas, please do let us know.
We aim to spend all money raised to enrich the children’s education
Following on from this year, we are looking toward to funding new outdoor play equipment, reading resources and other items for the classes.
